MyHelpster Wins TiE European Business Plan Competition And Is Attending The Rice Business Plan Competition 2015 With $ 2.5 Million In Cash-Prizes

This year winner of the TiE International Business Plan Competition is MyHelpster. Six teams from Manchester, London, Brussels, Heidelberg, Lyon and Lisbon qualified as the regional winners from their country to attend the European finals. The teams were competing for the qualification for the richest and largest Business Plan Competition in the world as well as a full paid trip to the US and $2000 additional spending money.

The six startups first pitched 15 minutes in front of judges from the US, Germany, Belgium, UK and India and then underwent intense questioning. The judges evaluated the businesses on market opportunity, scalability and investment opportunity, as well as the clarity of the presentation. After the intense shark tank rounds, the teams had to present their elevator pitch. The winner in both categories was MyHelpster.

MyHelpster is a young start-up that was launched in Manchester last summer by two German students. The startup helps small businesses and home workers with outsourcing in the four professional service categories: proofreading, spread sheet help, technical e-mail support and minor design tasks. In contrast to freelancer marketplaces, MyHelpster offers services that are delivered through their own experts. This enables them to respond to customer requests within 30 minutes and ensure higher service qualities.
MyHelpster, along with the winning team from the Asia Regional Finals, will go on to compete at the World’s largest Business Plan Competition at Rice University in Houston, Texas on April 17-18. The prize money of this year’s competition is over $ 2.5 Million. Last years participants raised in total $300 Million as a result of the competition. The team of MyHelpster will have the chance to present their business in front of a panel of over 250 judges, among those 7 Billionaires. Prior the teams will attend a 3-day BootCamp hosted by the TiE Houston Chapter and lead by experienced serial entrepreneurs from around the world.
